**Warning** Venting Session

I don’t understand how schools in affluent districts choose not to support teachers or invest in the school in general. I walk around the halls in my school and heaters are broken, graffiti on the walls, and doors are broken all around the building. I know that there are thousands of schools that are in far worse condition than the one I work in, but honestly, I work in a relatively affluent school district, but the school is the last place people in this town want to invest in.

Why not put a full time security guard in the building? Cost too much? We already have ID badges, why not set up a system where you have to swipe into the building and other rooms? Teachers won’t have to chase down students to figure out where they are, or if they really did go to the bathroom…
